About this deal

Please Foam Ear Plugs are now made of a soft UF foam that is comfortable for all night or extended daytime wear. Now that I'm in a quieter neighborhood, I'm still thankful for these, especially since my husband snores. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.

NRR 24/4) PROTECHS Travel reusable ear plugs feature a dual mode, Flip to Listen™ design that is uniquely well-suited for travel. HEARING PROTECTION: for Sleeping, Loud Noise, Concerts, Construction, Heavy Machinery, Music, and other loud environments. Also, they keep their shape much longer than the Quiet Please, so they are more economical over time. I don’t know if they’re pulling the skin in my ear canals or my ear hairs but I’m not a fan of them and the porous ones are becoming harder to find in pharmacies here in Canada.Flents Quiet Please Ear Plugs (100 Pairs) - foam ear plugs greatly reduce noise levels and fit comfortably in your ear. Both have approximately the same dimensions and very similar material properties to the original Quiet Please — and all, including the new version, have a 29 dB NRR.

To keep a pair, I performed only two earplug insertions (two different days) for the old formula and three for the Protechs QP (a new pair on each of three different days). Occasionally manufacturers improve or change their product formulas, update labels, and change their packaging. Can’t say too much about my 3Ms as they are 9 years old and may have lost a bit of their inner tension and become somewhat brittle. As another reviewer said, Flents has changed the material they use to make these ear plugs, and it definitely has not been an improvement.

If you are looking for other alternatives, also read my post What Are the Best Earplugs for Low Frequency Noise? The Quiet Time and Quiet Contour are made of polyurethane foam and have a softer feel, but they are actually denser and I can feel them more.Note: If you like the shape of the Quiet Contour but have a small ear canal, there is also a mini version of them (blue in the image), the Flents Protechs Earplugs for Sleeping. I can confirm that these rubber moulds act like squeegees on my ear canals, particularly on hot, sweaty summer nights. For other options for a normal-size ear canal, also read my post Earplugs for Sleeping and a Way to Boost Their Performance.

All in all though, Protechs Quiet Please are still a very good choice for reducing low frequency noise, provided you change them more often. The new version of the Flents PROTECHS Quiet Please Foam earplugs, advertised as “Now SOFTER for more comfort! Based on the smoothness of this finish, I’m assuming that they’re now making the QP plugs with PU foam. With easy fitting and high effectiveness, it's no wonder so many people love and depend on Flent's Quiet! Once in, the new, denser Quiet Please have more pressure points, they don’t breathe, and they don’t seal properly.

Whether for concerts, travel or just to make the world a little quieter, Protechs ear plugs reduce the decibel levels of common noises. That's enough noise protection to "turn the volume down" without blocking out the music you came to hear in the first place.
