About this deal
Recently escaped from Wormly Hall Orphanage, she’s about to embark on a transition from barefoot urchin to world famous adventurer, in less time than it takes to say “another fizzingly fabulous book from David Walliams. If you thought you had read about the World's Worst Children already, you're in for a rather nasty shock. There are so many fabulous characters in this book and each of its star players are illustrated at the start of the book with a rouges gallery detailing each of the characters that will appear in The Ice Monster – It’s a great tool and introduction to the characters ( something that Walliams does in many of his books). Our 6 year old asked for this for Christmas, mainly because he is a massive fan of prehistoric times and was really interested in the Mammoth on the cover.
Ross Welford introduces Time Travelling with a Tortoise, the sequel to Time Travelling with a Hamster, and a whole new time travel adventure!
A forma como tudo está descrito - desde a cidade à fisionomia das pessoas - faz com que seja bastante fácil ao leitor sentir que é parte da história. Now Caine delves into the real stories behind the gangs we think we know so well, revealing the hidden realities behind the myths.
We do feel the book could have been little bit shortened in the story length format but nevertheless it is a good read for nine year olds to twelve.I'm really excited for my 9 year old cousin to read this (he wants to swap - he's going to lend me his copy of The Famous Five, and I'm going to lend him this); I just know that he's going to love it! When Elsie, an orphan on the streets of Victorian London, hears about the mysterious Ice Monster – a woolly mammoth found at the North Pole – she's determined to discover more, but when a chance encounter brings Elsie face to face with the creature, it sparks the adventure of a lifetime – from London to the Arctic itself. Bringing their own unique and counter-balanced personalities to proceedings they ask questions such as: what is happiness? I think a hardback version of a long story like this is a great idea for he kids as it makes it more durable when you are reading it over such a long period of time.
From the phenomenal number-one bestseller David Walliams comes another collection of more hilariously horrible children!
